I need to know the name of the part that I removed from my vehicle so that I can properly identify it when ordering a new part. I was told that it was the RESONATOR by a DODGE associate. It is a plastic box with hose that connects to the valve cover and air filter on the topside and what I think to be the throttle control or idle arm on the bottom near the headers. Thanks for your time and any help!

That long tube that extends over the valve cover is actually a silencer. It eliminates the drowning sound of air going through the intake. As far as an exact name, im not sure. If you bring the part you need replaced to a dealer, they should then beable to tell you the proper name. Like I said, manufacturers are funny with some of the titles they name parts.
