First of all I want to ask if you can help me with a problem that im having, first problem is in the cooling system. What my car is doing is when im driving the tempurature guage goes all the way up to h on the guage and then goes back down to the middle between hot and cold whenen the day is a cool day then on hot days it goes from c to h and stays at h throughout the driving period. What I noticed is that the coolant for some reason keeps backing up into the resovoir, some days I will chck the overflow resovoir and it will be at close to minimum then other days I will check it and the coolant is over the maximum mark on the resovoir and then it spills out of the overflow hose on the resovoir and get all over the engine and the alternator, etc. Wat can be the problem? And my second question is at the top of my engine sits my camshaft, lifters etc, now there is a pronounced clicking coming from under the valve cover, andi dont know what iit is, can you help? Please thanxxxx!

Change the thermostat flush and fill. Let me know how this works out.
As for the cam noise this engine was notorious for wear on the cam tower thus causing lobe wear to follower making the noise. Years back there was TSB on this requires head replacement.
Hope this helps

First of all thanxx for the reply to my? I greatly appreciate it. Second I have already changed the thermostat and flushed and filled but the dang thing keeps backing up into the resovoir and then out the overflow hose and it gets all over my alternator and evrything else and quie frankly im dam tired of smelling hot antifreeze coming out of my vents, I dont know what else can be causing the problem, im starting to think my water pump is going bad, but I dont want to change it without knowing how the water pump can go faulty as far as not pumping coolent through the system. Any info on this matter will help. Thank you so much!

Check cooling fan operation. If car has AC turn it on fan should come on, if so bring engine to operating temp AC off observe fan. If it does not come on at 190 or say 3/4 way on gauge then temp sensor may be defective. Should be located near thermostst housing.
Let me Know I'll be on line till 5pm EST
