Yes I checked the fuse.
I replaced the blower motor, and the complete control switch module, but probably did not need to, as it obviously did not cure it.
I finally ran a direct line from the fuse panel to the fan and put in a toggle just to get me by for the lovely Michigan winter, but had to keep shutting it off in order to keep from letting the smoke out... yeah, it gets a bit hot on the wrong voltage. I don't know if it's got a bad resistor, or relay, or where to find them... Can you help?
