just wondering how do you adjust the engine kickdown cable for a 88 dodge shadow

4 cylinder, car should be at full operating temp. not running. Remove air cleaner housing. Lossen 10mm screw that holds the cable bracket on, move the bracket flat so both tabs are flat against case. Tighten screw. There is a cross lock tab you must pull up using a small screwdriver. The throttle should move no more than 1/16ths of an inch before starting to pull this cable. When its is correct push the cross lock tab down again. Tightening the cable gives more throttle pressure(later shift). Lossening is opposite. Make sure the lever is free to move, you can spray it up with silicone. ok If it still has a late or no upshift, let me know. If you need help. ok
