Truck ideal and heater
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, 4.7 V8, 5 speed, 72568 miles my ideal is staying at 500 rpms when I am sitting still, and my heater only blows cold air when I am driving or I keep my foot on the gas to keep my ideal at 1000 rpms, how can I fix it so my heater is hot all the time?

I was wondering if you had looked into anything yet... Your thermstat might be bad.. So change thermostat with a hotter one and that should take care of it.... It would be the first and mostly the cheapest thing I'd change.....
Good luck and let us knoww
