I have a 02 Ram QC with 49,000. Recently the power locks stopped working. I replaced the fuse (it was blown) and tested the locks, and they worked once and the fuse was blown again. Replaced the fuse again with the same result, locks worked once and blew the fuse. I just had the rear u-joint replaced, but no other work has been done to the truck in the recent past. Any ideas where i should start trying to fix the bad circuit?

Could have a short wire somewhere, I would check youre ground (neg) battery terminal for connection is clean or tight battery post. Also see if there is any breaks in the wiring, It sounds to me to be a ground problem.

You got a direct short to ground in that particular circuit

Thank you for your replies...
I have not had time to trace the wires yet, but here is something i for got to add. When i replace the fuse, I could unlock the doors without blowing the fuse, I could do this from both doors, but as soon as the door lock signal was given (from each door module or from the automatic door lock when driving 15 mph) the fuse would blow. Does this sound like a short in one to the lock motors?
