Compleat Break Failur

Dodge Ram 150 1988 170000 mi
resently we were informed that there was oil found in our break lines mixed in with the break fluid. my question is how long would the oil need to be in there inorder for there to be enough damage to cause compleat break failur? we had recently had the truck in to have the oil changed

Bleed the entire system out till it clears and put fresh correct type fluid and rebleed the whole system again to get that air out.
