My 2003 Ram 4x4 Quad Cab on occasion on startup will have the ABS and brake light come on and the spedo needle starts jumping up and down. (& I'm not moving) Upon accel the tranny feels like it's in 2nd or 3rd gear, slowly accelerates then bangs into low gear.
The check engine light comes on and stays on for 3-4 days.
The first time this happened after I washed the truck (normally). The second time this happened after the truck sat for 2 days. (dry)
If I restart the truck sometimes the ABS & brake light go out but the spedo needle continues to jump along with the trans slippage.
After 3-4 starts it goes away, the engine light stays on for 4-5 days then goes out will all being well.
