Blinkers do not work consistently

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram Quad Cab with 89000 miles on it. Recently, when you turn the blinkers or the windshield wipers on they will or will not work. If you move the tilt steering wheel up or down they will start working?
Also, the check engine light came on yesterday, but there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the way the truck runs. Any suggestions?

Check the wire harness inside your steering collum, make sure all the connections are tight and no cut or broken wires. Part 2 of question is what are the codes your getting, just becouse your truck runs good does'nt mean there is not something going on there. A code reader will tell you why your engine light came on. Keep in mind that not all codes are bad and can be fix and cleared with out too much trouble.
