98 headlights won't shut off !

Hello, I have a 1998 dodge ram 1500. I am having troubles getting my headlights to shut off. My highbeam indicator light is staying on along with my lights eventhough I take the keys out of the ignition. I 've tried flicking the highbeams on and off. Still nothing, I have also tried engaging my parking brake, and removing positive cable on batt. What could possibly bee wrong? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Marutz.

take it somewhere and have it scanned for computer codes. or take a look a the hand held scanner that
eAutoPartStore.com has for just under $70.00, and take the guess work out of the picture!
