97 Ram 1500

I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500. It has 129000 miles on it. Recently the speedometer has started jumping around when I accelerate, the engine also will get very close to dying and the RPMs will drop very low when I accelerate. I have no idea why. Could the problems be related?

replace the speed sensor. it's either on the transmission or the differential housing. :)

that will fix both problems or just the speedometer
