I have a 2002 dodge ram that is giving me an scan code p0601. the code reader definition says "Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error", I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this problem

call your dealer and ask for the parts department its a computer inside a computer problem. also turn your headlights on and then disconnect the battery for 5 minites then reconnect the battery and check to see if the code has been reset . the micro batterys in the computer have to be drained to get the computer to reset by leaving the lights on this creates an open circit so they can drain .

Thanks for the info. I unhooked the battery and turned on the headlights , and it did reset the code. I'll call the dealer on monday am. and see if they can get me the correct parts that I need . Again thanks for the info.
