2001 Dodge Ram 4 wheel drive not engaging

2001 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual 101,00 miles
recently my 4wheel drive on my truck quit working.it will shift smoothly into 4wheel drive but no 4WD light comes on and it will not be in 4wd. someone mentioned this could be a corroded wire or else the fuse...where on earth do i look for either?

If you have the electric shift, check to see if there is power to the 4wd actuator on the transfer case.
Let me know what you find.
