I have replaced the battery and starter, but still no luck. This truck was tuned and smooged in may 2008.Ihave not had any problems with starting the ram or any promblems ,but on11-25-08 the ram did not start! It seemed to have power the dash lights, radio, windsheild-wipers all seemed to work, but when I turned the key to start postion the lights went out the wipers stoped,so I tought it was the battery(4 years old)replaced it.NO luck so I replaced starter.Still no good.I have power door locks and factory installed security alarm system that work on a remote. They seem to work.I have run out of ideado you have any suggestions?

sounds like our losing a connection at the battery or the ground cable going from the battery. a tell tale sign is the losing of all power when trying to start, this usually i ndicates that there is a slight connection and when you add the extra load of trying to start then the connection gets too weak then you lose the connection. one other possibility that is also likely is your losing the connection through the ignition switch. there are small contacts in the ignition switch that fail over time
