My ram will once in a while stutter and sometimes backfire causing it to almost stall out, mainly when the truck isnt up to temp, if you give it some gas it goes away and once its warmed up its usually fine, i was thinking fuel filter but since its in the tank id like to try some other things first, mabye a throttle posiotion sensor, or mabye an egr valve? what do you think?

Valve, headgasket... Have you checked for vacuum leaks and the EGR? Often times a backfire will be caused by a vacuum leak.

Let me know.
