Engine Performance problem
1999 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles

Engine is really "bogging down" under a load. It runs ok normally, but I can't go up a hill. Thought it was a cat converter, had it checked and they said it was OK. I've changed everything from the coil to the spark plugs.

Still have the check engine light. Getting multiple cylinder misfire, #4 misfire and #7 misfire.

Next I guess is checking the fuel pressure. Any other ideas?

Checking the fuel pressure is a good idea. If you need directions, let me know. Also, in my, a weak fuel pump wouldn't only cause a misfire on two cylenders. It would be random affecting any cylender. Check the pressure, make sure a plug wire isn't arcing at the cylenders, and let me know if the miss is all of the time (a dead miss). I realize that you said it seems to be uner a load, but I just want to confirm. Also, we may need to perform a compression test if everything else checks out.
