I had to have my hood replaced recently(it blew up while on freeway). Since then I have no radio or interior lights. I cannot find any blown fuses. Any other suggestions. The radio and lights worked after the hood blew up. The problem did not come up until after the hood was replaced about a week after. Thanks

Hi,

If I had to make an educated guess based on the work that was done, I would say the ground for the radio/interior lighting was damaged when the new hood was installed. The ground, G100, is located on the left inner fender near the hinge mounts.

If you look at the attached pics below, first, I highlighted fuses to check. Note: Fuse 1 is specific to the interior lighting and radio. The others are radio related.

Additionally, in pic 2 I circled the ground which I am referring to. Open the hood and locate the black wire. Confirm it isn't damaged or disconnected. If it appears good, then I need you to disconnect the radio connector, locate the black wire in the harness, and confirm continuity to the ground. If there is no ground, simply provide a new ground to the black wire and see if that takes care of the problem.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
