I have a 96 1500 Dodge Ram 2x4. While driving it gradually lost power until dying on side of the road. Now it will not start. After having it towed home, I check the feul pump (only a year old) and it seem to be working fine. There's pressurize gas in that injector tube. Also the spark plugs are firing. And I tested all the relays. Even after spraying starter fluid into the carborator, engine will not try to start. I'm at a lost please help. By the way, the truck has 218,000 miles, is it worth fixing.

Hi ijdesign and TY for the donation

You go spark-You need to verify the fuel pressure if the fuel pump is producing the correct fuel pressure and also check if the injector/s are pulsing and comeback with some testing results

Spraying starting fluid should cause it to start and die if its getting spark without the fuel pump coming on.
