I have a 86 Dodge D50 with 200K miles 2.4L engine. My instrument cluster illumination lights do not light up. The E-brake light, the turn signals flashers, high beam indicator, battery and check EGR light all work but nothing else. I have checked all the fuses I could find, I did notice that the relay that makes the buzzer go off is not hooked up though. I thought it might be the turn signal/headlight switch, but the running lights come on and so do the headlights. All the bulbs in the cluster work, I moved them to the known good spots and tested them. Please help me. I am in the military and work at night, I am getting tired of holding a flashlight up to the guages while driving.

I have a 1986 Ramcharger and had the same problem however my problem also came with the driving lights staying on and having to disconnect the battery everytime I would shut the truck off. I went ahead and replace ALL the fuses no matter if they looked good or not and POOF I had gauge lights. Now I still have no blinkers nor brake lights and have no idea there. So maybe this might help. I to am in the service and work at night so I know what it is like to hold the flash light or dome light on. Well talk to you later hope this helps.
