I hope you can help me with my brake problem. I took my 1997 Dodge Caravan with 3.8 v6 to the mechanic for a tune up. My mechanic drove the van to test the emissions. Well, the van passed, but in the way back, he said the front brakes locked and they were so hot and cought on fire. The van was towed back to the shop. The front calipers and pads were replaced. I drove it for a day and they locked again. I took it back to the mechanic who found the brake fluid to be contaminated. He flushed the system and replaced calipers, pads, brake hoses and the master cylinder. Well, the front brakes lock up on occasion. I installed a used abs unit. The brakes still lock up. Any clue? Please help.
