Hello, I have a 1985 Dodge 600 Convertible. Whenever an average weighed person (i.E. 140lbs, give or take) sits in the back or when I load the trunk up with anything heavy the back side of the car sags down significantly. Then when I drive at high speeds (i.E. 40+ in this case) and if I hit a bump something scratches BADLY because of the sagging. What is it that is causing this? And how much would it cost to fix?

Thank you.

Hi:

I believe you have struts on the rear of that car. If so, you need to purchase a heavy duty coil spring for the strut assembly. The orig ones were not that strong when they were new, and over the years they just got worse.
