1985 Dodge Omni Engine Coolant Temperature Light
Engine Cooling problem
1985 Dodge Omni 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 16800 miles
My 1985 Omni is in perfect shape with 16,800 actural miles. My problem is the radiator fan would not turn ON during engine operation, but the fan would run on the normal engine shut-down mode. I changed the coolant temperature sensor and now the fan operates as required, but the engine "Over Temp. Light" turns ON after engine runs only a few minutes with coolant about 160 to 180 degrees.
Help.

Lou, I would start by replacing the sensor to see if you got a bad one.
