What happened to Tranny?

I have a 1995 Dodge neon 2.0 SOHC and I was backing up when I heard a loud pop come from underneath. I went to go forward and there was nothing. All gears have nothing including park. Is this a connection issue or an internal issue?

Raise the vehicle safely and see if one of the cv axles "popped out" of the transaxle or possibly broke. If 1 axle comes out of the transaxle or breaks you will have nothing-no park, drive, reverse etc.
