2005 Dodge Neon car wont start

I have been haveing some problem with this I would go out to start my car turn the key then here nothing the starter didnt turn over and there was no clicking sound I didnt even here the fuel pump kick on. I turn the key off then tried again and it started but now it wont start at all we jumped a wire from the battery to to the starter had the key on and the starter and motor was turning over but it wont start. The starter wont turn over by the key and now I dont even hear the fuel pump kick on. Is there some rely switch or nutral saftey switch that could cause this. I could really use some suggestions Its the only car I got and a long walk to work. Thank u for ur time p.S its the sxt version
