The mileage is approximately 290k. Everything on the car is brand new accept the motor and trany. The starter blew and my husband took it out I bought a new one but he doesnt remember how the cables hooked up to the starter itself. When I tryed to start it there was a "pop" sound. Then the battery wire was rather hot so I assume he hooked it up wrong.
Also the fans for the rad are in working order and for some reason will not turn on so the car over heats?

Obviously the pop sound was NOT a good thing and the starter probably wasn't connected properly. Check ALL fuses associated with the fan and if my memory serves me properly there is a fuseable link to the fan system. This may have blown. Also the fan relays may have been damaged.
