Engine Cooling problem

hi, i'm trying to get a second car only to drive to work and back i found a car but the person tells me that the cars a little bit under 125,00 1995 dodge neon automatic he says that one time while driving to his house for 1 1/2hrs at 65mph it overheated he waited aliitle bit til it cooled down and added some coolant then the ride was ok for the rest of the trip (sorry he also mentioned that the a/c didnt work) now as an hvac mechanic i might have an idea that there might be a leak some where but what i would like to know is it worth me buying the for $675 and getting the repairs done or no and what do you think it might be? please any advice would be very helpful and appreciated thank you.
