Dodge Intrepid dies when I go through a puddle

My 1999 dodge intrepid sputters and dies when the right front tire goes through water. It has an automatic 2.7L motor. The car has 112000 miles. I think that the problem might be electrical but I dont know. Any advice would be apreciated. Thank you
