I was out town for almost 8 months i saved my car on my garage all the 8 months do i need to check on my car to start drive it again?

just do the standard procedure;
1. Check all the fluids under the hood, engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, ect.
2. check the air in the tires,
3. if the battery is dead, it may have frozen, if it will not take a charge.
That's about it, you should be ready to rock 'n roll
