The car was recently stolen. When i got the car, it ran quite ruff, but still ran. After a day or so, it would stall when i would stop at a red light or a stop sign. Soon, it would do this two or three times a day, and now it will not start at all. The car seems like it wants to start, and sometimes will start but will die right away. Also, there is a small knocking noise in the engine. I don't know if its a fuel pump, if the timing is off, or if its just the fuel filter. This car is too electronic for me to work on without any advice. Please Help!

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge to make sure it is in spec. USe a spark tester to make sure the plugs are getting spark. To start of with.

IS this a 2.7 motor?, if so, that knock may be the start of the end of that motor.
