1998 Dodge Intrepid Head Gaskets

Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 185000 miles

Started the car Saturday night--it ran rough like it was missing. I shut it down. Smelled gas. Next day when I started it white smoke came out the tailpipe and I again smelled gas. Sounds like a head gasket to me. Any idea what it would cost to fix?
Range will do.

Same cost question to replace the fan that blow A/C and heat. Fan died the day before. Was a great car, but I'm asuming that its pretty much dead unless I can get this fixed for less than $1,200.

Hi
May not be head gasket , is there coolant in oil ie. look like chocolate malt? Did engine overheat previously? Did engine continue to run rough at the A.M.start up? If gaskets both is @ 8hr. labor so at $90 per hr thats $720 +$200 for parts. fluids etc.
As for fan @$ 60 fan + 1 hr labor.
Hope this helps
Let me know
Thanks for donate
