Electrical problem
1998 Dodge Intrepid V8 Automatic 94000 miles

When driving the car, all of a sudden it chimes and then the gas gauge goes to E and the headlights flash. The car doesn't stall but what could be the problem.

Hi:
the fuel gauge sounds like a problem with the float in the fuel tank. Do the headlights flash all of the time?

No they don't flash all the time but someone told me over the weekend that it could be the Body Control Module that could be going or the relay or even a ground wire that is loose. Any thoughts on those potential problems??

Any of those could cause the problem. Make sure the body ground straps are not broken. If everything looks ok, the next choice would be the BCM.
