1992 Dodge Dynasty 6 cyl Automatic 132000 miles

this morning I was driving and when I came to a intersetion my car started making a whistling sound then it would not drive, I put it in netural then back to drive postion and I would only go about 2-3 mph. I let the car sit then I want back a couple of hours later and started the car and it drove around the parking lot?

Any clue at to where the whistling was coming from? Based on the failure to move, I would suspect a transmission fluid leak and low fluid. Check under the car for a red puddle, about a foot in from the left front tire.
