2002 Dodge Durango stuck in park

Hello some times the trans will not come out of park, this will do this sitting level ground with steering wheel stright and no tesion on the steering lock. It will be fine for a good while and bam it will just get stuck in park is there a ajustment to fix this or is it something else.

I had the same thing happen and all I did was remove the rubber boot on the shifter and pushed in the locking mechanism. My lock I think is just getting stuck in the cold.

Make sure when you park you dont park against curbs or run close to things while parking, dodge is known for that.
