200 NO REVERSE
1920 Dodge Durango
Hi I have a 2000 dodge durango 5.2 automatic, 150,000 miles. Heres the problem. My transmission acts like its brand new except. No reveres whatsoever. Fluid is good. Took it to aamco and they said that my thrd/reverse clutch was prob bad but I have been driving this vehicle for 9 months this way and all forward gears are working perfect. Aamco wanted $2500 to rebuild but I just cant see it needing a complete rebuild when everything else is working perfect. When you shift into reverse you the vehicle feels like it went into reverse but when you accelerate nothing happens except a very faint whine noise. Same condition cold or hot.
