1988 Dodge Daytona engine has problem's.


my 1988 dodge daytona makes a lot of bad knoking sounds and it idels ruff.some times it will die and other times it wont. when i put it in to gear it makes a really bad sound and i have to give it gas all the time or els it might stall or just die. i think it i could be running on 3 cylenders.it all so sometimes blows out black smoke when u first start it.when i drive it it shacks a lot and the rpms are idel hight and when i drive it the brakes are hard and stiff..

Hi:
If the brakes are hard, make sure there isn't a vacuum leak at the brake booster. This big of a leak will cause driveability problems.
