Hello,

I'm trying to put engine in car. I have connect wire for tranny, alternator, coil, but i'm not seeing the cable that the distributor is suppose to connect to. Do the distributor have to plug into something in order for the car to start and run. or is that cable just a sensor for something else that i don't need. If that connect wire is need is it possible that you all can walk me to finding it.

Hi polopolo, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation.

Is this an electronic or conventional contact distributor?

If its electronic, looking at the pigtail -could be the run and pick side of the magnetic pick-up coil which goes to the ignition pulse amplifier also called ignition control module. Look around the fender and firewall

It is a electronic. I do not see these parts under the hood. Do you think these maybe been taken out possible. Do you think that I am missing the electronic set?

Those are the components for the ignition system-it probably was converted to a conventional distributor and those were taken out-
