Sporadic hard miss
I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota 2.5 liter Motor, 178,000 miles all highway. It has been maintained, properly and has been very reliable. However I am experiencing a problem that is driving me nuts!! First they voltage will drop on the charge indicator, I replaced the battery and removed the alternator and had it tested it was putting out 14.2 volts. The problem seemed to be cured after replacing the battery. However it has now returned. I charged up the new battery had the alternator retested it still reads the same 14.2 volts. Now test driving it has a hard miss only happens every few minute’s dash lights flash momentarily and everything returns to normal the event last about ½ a second. The part that is throwing me is no codes are being stored. Please help?
