How do you turn off the 'air bag' light?

While having a new radio put in my Dakota, they disconnected the passenger air bag turn off switch, which set the 'air bag' light. My local Dodge Dealer wants $75 dollars to put their 'reader' on it to clear it. I have an OBDII reader, but an engine code clearer won't do it. How can I turn it off without a special reader? I've tried the OBDII and took off the neg. Cable overnight. So far, no luck. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.

THe light will no go off unless the problem has been fixed which is probably an impact sensor is unplugged or bad. You must scan the air bag system to get the codes a code reader will cost about $110.00 on Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how to do it.

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
