CRANKS BUT WON'T START, I WAS TOILD IT COULD BE THE OXYGEN SENSOR, BUT COULD IT BE THE FUEL FILTER? MY DAUGHTER DRIVES IT ON EMPTY MOST OF THE TIME AND I'VE HEARD OF VEHICLES DOING THAT WHEN THEY WERE RAN ON LOW GAS.

Hi:
Chances are either spark or fuel is missing. So, if you question the fuel filter, disconnect it and see if fuel is being pumped. Use a gas can to catch the fuel because it will spray out when the key is on if it works. If you have pressure, reconnect it and check fuel pressure at the fuel rail. If it's low, start by replacing the filter and recheck pressure. If still low, chances are the pump is bad.

If fuel is good, check to see if you are getting spark.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
