2000 Dodge Dakota Dip Stick stuck in engine
Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles
Engine locked up, tried to pull out dip stick to check oil could not get released. Transferred to Dodge Dealership said a piece of the piston jammed in crankshaft. needed crankshaft and pistons replaced. Does this sound right? Normally if piston jams oil will burn, took off oil pan and checked. Oil not burned.

When you took the pan off, were you able to see any broken parts wedged in the crankshaft? Also, as far as the oil, it wouldn't do anything to it.
