2000 Dodge Dakota 4X4 and Steering
Hey Guys,
When I go into 4wheel-HI my truck pulls off to the left, steering is really sloppy, and almost jerky, meaning as I am going down the road, it will jerk a bit to the left, or back to the right, it is really difficult to keep the truck going straight. I can hear the front axles turning, almost like a low whining sound, which I am not sure I should be concerned with that. Would an alignment job do the trick to solve the problem where it pulls and will that tighten up the steering? Thanks in advance!-Ben

Is the steering loose when not in 4X4? If it is take it to a front end shop, have the dteering box adjusted, Be careful, if it's tightened too much, the sector shaft can be sawed in half! Then you loose ALL steering...
