Hi guys, Im hoping you can help me. My engine 5.9L has a bad miss/rough idle. I took it to a mechanic to clear the code for the engine light being on. He said the number 7 cyclinder was not firing? I changed spark plugs, spark plug wires and the cap and rotor and still the miss/rough idle is still there. Could it be the #7 fuel enjector?

You replaced the sparkplug-now you need to check no.7 cyl compression and injector

Misfires can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
