Over a year ago, had blown headgasket, shop said that truck ran too hot and had problems in the motor and motor would not last a year, well, truck is still running, but it looses oil pressure when idling, wether waiting on a red light or turning a corner, have replaced oil with non detergent 40 grade, but is there anything else I can do?

Drop the oil pan and replace the pump and pick-up. Might have debris in the pick-up tube from when the heads were done, sometimes small pieces of material and engine gunk can fall into the engine and cause it to plug. Have you installed a manual gauge to verify that it is losing pressure? Aside from that. Valvoline straight 50w racing oil is pretty thick
