Computer problem
1989 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 175k miles

Can you tell me what the part is /or more about the part that is on the passangers wheel wellthat has small hoses to it that the transmission fluid goes to. It looks like a small rectangler box that is to be sealed (but it leaks tranny fluid).

Sounds like you're talking about the transmission cooler-Does it look like a small radiator?

Its not suppose to leak-its purpose is to cool down the transmission fluid

We bought this truck from another person and he put calk around it because it was leaking tranny fluid. Is there anything else that this box could be? How expensive is the part? Thank you!

Do you see 2 fittings going to it if so its the tranny cooler. Dunno how much it is varies with location
