Voltage Regulator - Dodge Ram Charger

I have a 1990 Dodge Ramcharger with 144000 miles - Where is the voltage regulator located? We just purchased the vehicle and were told that the alternator was bad. Any battery put in was being totally drained. It was not the alternator, had it tested. The next suggestion was the voltage regulator, but we can not find it! Any help will be much appreciated.

my 1986 ram is doing the same.already replaced regulator, which is located on the fire wallat the very top left side behind a bunch of wires. cost is about 12 bucks, but did not fix problem either. next step is to install abattery cut off switch on the dash to disconnect the battery while driving. will work for awhile.
