1971 Dodge Charger V8 Automatic

i have a new battery and a new starter on a 1971 dodge charger, but it still wont turn over. Any suggestions on what to check next

If its not cranking-you might want to test the neutral safety switch, and if it has a starter relay check that too and also test the ignition switch

Could my distributor be causing my car problems. It wont crank when I turn the key. It simply makes a light popping noise and it sounds like its coming from the distributor so could my distributor have gone out and caused my engine not to crank
