2002 Grand Caravan Sport, 3.3L V6 w/ 57K miles. I have a few problems...

1) The front passenger window stops and starts working for no apparent reason. When not working, no "hum" or any other noise is heard -- it just doesn't move up or down.

2) Rear door on the driver's side -- the lock doesn't unlock/relock with the rest of the locks when using the lock/unlock buttons on the front doors, or when using the remote.

3) The (3 button) remote will only unlock the doors. I can't get it to lock them, and the Panic button does nothing. I have replaced the batteries to no avail.

I'm hoping there might be a common cause for all of the above? Any insights appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Here's what I know so far...

1) The dealer I bought the car from is going to have the window motor replaced.

2) The dealer will have a look at the door lock/actuator problem at the same time

3) Nope, no 2nd remote. I tried reprogramming as per instructions but it didn't help. Is my best option to replace the remote and have the new one programmed by the dealer?

Here are the resolutions to my issues...

1) The front passenger window stops and starts working for no apparent reason. When not working, no "hum" or any other noise is heard -- it just doesn't move up or down.

* The dealer I bought the vehicle from replaced the window motor.

2) Rear door on the driver's side -- the lock doesn't unlock/relock with the rest of the locks when using the lock/unlock buttons on the front doors, or when using the remote.

* The dealer I bought the vehicle from replaced the actuator.

3) The (3 button) remote will only unlock the doors. I can't get it to lock them, and the Panic button does nothing. I have replaced the batteries to no avail.

* The dealer I bought the vehicle from reimbursed me for the cost of a new remote and the programming of it.

And I have to mention that I bought the vehicle AS-IS with NO WARRANTY, so the dealer did not have to do anything about any of the above problems. As far as used car lots go, I must say that Bridgeside Motors in Alameda, CA is a great place to buy a car! :D
