Cruise ctrl. On @ 70mph going up 2-3% grade on interstate w/ no extra load, rpms start to increase so take off cc, down shift from D to 3 apply gas lightly and starts to pull some, then breaks free like tires spinning, then shift to L and same thing again. Now @ 15 mph, (very little road noice), have noticed clicking noise as try to make it pull. Sounded like a bad sprocket on a bike. Day before it made a click when I put in rev and started back slowly on level road by my house. All gears do exactly same. Wants to go but acts just like when your stuck in mud or snow but makes clicking. No broken cvs! Think I know for sure what it is. Dodge dealer says needs new trans. I say BULL!

Any fluid loss during the experience? Clicking and even a disconnected inner plunger cv and it wont move, check for a destroyed cv boot inner or outer. And check that the axles are seated into the transmission too.

Merlin writes, so you did find the problem? And thanks for the point. Appreciate it! Many folks forget to say thanks!
Dont forget to drop the pan change all fluid and filter, and flush, drain converter too, some have a plug some don't but a flush with a machine will clean it out. Check that side gear for any damage too.
