My dad has a 2004 Caravan and all of a sudden these lights are lit up on the dash. Brakes, ABS, and in the ODOM...Trac Off. As far as I know it has no ABS and for sure no Traction Control.

Just wondering if this is some sort of Dodge code or something?

Anyone with experience with these vans know what's up?

the reason all these lights are on is because when you turn the key on the vehicle runs a self check of all the systems. if one system does not check out it will not complete the test. therefore all the lights are on. however the srs light is usually on also because it should be in that series of tests. you should have the abs system scanned, to help locate the problem.

Thanks Chevey350guy...but I recently found that theres a Service Bullitin out for this problem. I just have to make an appointment at the dealer and they will hook up a tool to "reboot" the dash.

Here is what the bullitin said:

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Vehicles not equipped with ABS brakes may have the ABS, BRAKE, and TRAC OFF lamps illuminated on the instrument cluster or vehicles not equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer (SKIM) may have the Security/VTA lamp illuminated on the instrument cluster.
