Engine Performance problem
1998 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Automatic 99,500 miles
I replaced the engine coolant sensor three times as the diagnostis test said is was the engine coolant sensor and it has another code the manufactured malfunction control . The mechanics I have been to is no help. One says it is the fuel pump the other says it is in the wiring for oxygen sensor. It had a hard time starting if the morning sometimes driving it would be like it was not getting fuel for a second the speedometer would drop from the speed you were going and then shoot right back to the speed you were driving. I started it got half way down the road and it seemed like it did not get fuel and engine quit running. I tried to start it several times and it would not. When I tried to start it it smelled as if it was flooded. Could you tell me if I could have another faulty oxygen sensor or a ECM. The mechanics are telling me they never heard of malfunction countrol. Thank You
